This section includes Norway's first stamp from 1855, the 4 skilling blue, featuring the Norwegian Coat of Arms.   King Oscar I makes an early appearance on stamps in 1856, with a 4 value set. The famous Post Horn and Crown design begins its long run in 1871.  Although it has gone through many design modifications over the years, it continues as a definitive issue today 140 years later.
